On September 28, IEM starts a series of meetings of managers and businessmen with students. We invite you to talk with the Tomsk City Duma chairman Chingis Akatayev

The Institute of Economics and Management of the TSU starts the Path to Success project, which comprises a series of meetings of students with successful graduates, business owners, authorities’ representatives, top managers of the region’s companies who during an informal conversation will tell about their success stories and give inspiring tips. EveryTSU student can take part in the events.
The first meeting will commence on September 28, Wednesday, at 16:30, – Chingis Akatayev, the Tomsk Duma chairman, 1990 graduate of the TSU Economics Faculty, will give his speech to students. He will share cases from practice and tell how he found his calling and built his career, and students will be able to ask any questions.
Chingis Akatayev worked in the banking sector for more than 20 years, then became the Tomsk Region Deputy Governor on Social Policy. Currently, he has been the speaker of Tomsk City Duma for 2 years.

We could add that his speech on the IEM 5th anniversary TEDx talk in May was a success. The speaker shared his lifehacks on how to manage a difficult team.

Another notable fact is that Oleg Ivannikov, founder and director of Vita Pharmacy, 2002 graduate of the TSU Presidential Program, was one of the initiators of the Path to Success project. The coordinating organization of the project is the Careers Center, IEM TSU. 6 meetings with the TSU students are planned to be held during this academic year.
