The PhD student of Astana International University, the Vice Chairman of International Science Complex “Astana” Farkhad Kuanganov is receiving advanced training during the internship at IEM. He is the third intern of the program “Methodology of Research in The Fields of Economics and Management” carried out by IEM MBA Office. The interns learn the methodology of researches in economics and management, academic activity of TSU and practical aspects of scientific researches organization.

The internship at TSU has been chosen due to several reasons. First of all, it is high position of TSU in global universities ratings, strong scientific school and the level of researches of IEM. Also, Toms is a special place for Kazakhstani due to the fact that the founder of Kazakhstan Academy of Sciences, Kanysh Imantayevich Satpayev studied and started his academic career here. We are very glad that the best academic traditions are saved and grown in Tomsk, Farkhad Kuanganov mentions.

Doctor of Economics, Olga Pavlovna Nedospasova is the academic advisor of Farkhad Kuanganov.

Farkhad Kuanganov says: ‘The communication with my foreign academic advisor Olga Pavlovna Nedospasova and other IEM researches was very helpful and productive. My PhD thesis is connected with population economics, more specifically – economical tools for birth rate stimulation and demographic increase. The feedback from leading researches in the field helped to improve my work significantly. A am very grateful to Tomsk natives for their support. I wish the city all the success and prosperity!’

We are glad that there is a demand for such programs. The exchange of best practices helps the university to develop. We look forward to further cooperations with the colleagues from Astana.
