Three IEM bachelor students – Victoria Kasatkina, Julia Akopova and Alena Nagaitseva – took part in the International Student Conference at Novosibirsk State University and received a 2nd degree diploma of for the work they submitted.

This is the largest youth conference in Siberia and the second largest youth scientific conference in the CIS, in which talented and dedicated students, PhD students, young scientists and school students present their works.

“We are glad that the conference was held in a face-to-face format, since we are tired of events being held online, because they do not always give the necessary communication and emotions,” says Natalia Redchikova, academic supervisor of the team, associate professor of the Department of Strategic Management and Marketing, Candidate of Economic Sciences. “We think that everything went brilliantly, since we received a 2nd degree diploma as a result, which once again confirms the high level of our students. We are very happy for them.”

The students also expressed their opinions.

Victoria Kasatkina (4th year, management):

"It's always interesting to see the works of students in your field, to share experiences and to see the level of other universities. Participation in such events always brings a lot of impressions".

 Julia Akopova (4th year, management):

"Speaking at conferences in front of an audience is a great way to improve your soft skills. It was a good exchange of experience. For me it was useful to learn the results of other participants’ research, to make a note of interesting moments which can lead to new ideas for my own research".

Alena Nagaitseva (4th year, management):

"Knowing the research conducted by other students significantly broadened my horizons, I even noted a few areas for myself to further develop my topic. The jury provided important feedback and instructions for further work. Overall, I think we were able to represent the university with dignity".
