Doctoral Student from Astana Visits IEM TSU and the "Work Russia" Career Center

Ardak Serikovna Munanova, a doctoral student from the International University of Astana, visited the Institute of Economics and Management (IEM) at Tomsk State University to develop international academic cooperation and study Russian practices for employing citizens with disabilities.

During her time at the university, Ardak worked with her co-supervisor, IEM Professor Olga Nedospasova, and participated in scientific and methodological events organized by the institute and the university.

An important part of the internship was a specially organized placement day for the doctoral student at the "Work Russia" Career Center. Here, the guest from Kazakhstan was given a tour and introduced to the center's operational structure, resources, and experience in working with citizens. The mechanisms for employment support, legal aspects, and state programs aimed at ensuring labor market inclusivity were presented in detail. The guest from Kazakhstan found the Tomsk experience in social entrepreneurship within this sphere particularly interesting, as it demonstrates effective models of interaction between the state, business, and the non-profit sector.

The empirical data and analytical materials obtained provide Ardak Serikovna with a unique opportunity for a comparative analysis of practices in Tomsk and Astana, which will undoubtedly enrich the methodological foundation and substantive part of her dissertation.

The Institute of Economics and Management expresses its gratitude to its reliable partners—the staff of the "Work Russia" Career Center—for their high professionalism in organizing the placement day and their readiness for productive international dialogue in the field of human capital development. Such initiatives make a substantial contribution to strengthening international academic ties and hold significant practical value.
