IEM develops cooperation with Uzbekistan: the educational program for Abidjan State University staff

The offline part of the professional development program “Digital Transformation of Education: New Opportunities and Fundamental Changes” specially developed for the Abidjan State University has finished at IEM. The delegation included professors and managers of the university. The visit provided a rich program including classes and meetings with TSU representatives.

During the week the colleagues communicated with the management and staff of the Graduate Admission Office of TSU, Institute of Distance Education, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Vice-Rector for Information Policy and Digital Communications. They acquainted with the management model of a modern university, best practices and new approaches in the field of education including the experience of creation of the Higher IT-School in cooperation with the regional IT-companies.

Besides, every member of the delegation delivered a lecture for students of different faculties of TSU.

It is the first time our university has sent the top-management abroad for a professional development program, the Chief of Education Quality Control Department Dilshadbek Nurmatov says. First of all, we would like to get the knowledge in the field of management, learn how the educational process is organized at TSU and how the quality control of the education is conducted. The scientific activities are also very important, we are very interested in joint researches. For example, you have a beautiful botanic garden and our delegation includes biologists and ecologists who are interested in sharing experience with the colleagues.

The speaker also added that the visit is the first step in further cooperation. It is not my first visit to Tomsk, I had attended a conference at TSU, besides our universities run a “2+2” Bachelor program together, so, I think it may be very effective cooperation, the guest says.

A distinctive feature of the program is the work of a big TSU team including representatives of many university’s units. We pay special attention to modern teaching practices, innovation technologies and expertise in education quality management, the Director of MBA Programs Office Irada Magaeva says. I am sure that this training will be a valuable experience for all participants and will help the development of modern approaches in education in Russia and Uzbekistan.

IEM is grateful to the following faculties of TSU for organization of guest lectures and practices for the students of the program: Faculty of Physical Culture, Faculty of Philosophy, Institute of Biology, Faculty of Physics and Faculty of Philology.

The students of the program from the Andijan State University will continue their education online.
