IEM PhD student from China received a first degree diploma at the TSUAB conference

IEM PhD student Zhang Jie successfully spoke at the international scientific-practical conference "Investment, urban development, real estate as drivers of socio-economic development of the territory", which was held in TSAGU. His report called "Corporate ESG efficiency, public subsidies and green innovations" attracted great interest among the participants and was awarded a first degree diploma.

After his presentation, Zhang Jie answered questions in detail and talked about the specifics of ESG agenda for Chinese steel companies.

Now the PhD student is actively preparing to present a report at the XXIV Yasin (April) International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development, held by the National Research University "Higher School of Economics". His report called "How does ESG performance affect enterprise value? Evidence from Chinese listed companies" successfully passed peer-review and was approved for inclusion in the final version of the conference program.

Zhang Jie graduated from IEM's International Management master's program in 2022 and remained to become a PhD student. The topic of his dissertation is "Exploring the Impact of Corporate Environmental Responsibility on Company Sustainability: China's Experience." His academic supervisor is Professor Olga Nedospasova, Head of the Department of Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management, IEM.
