IEM scientists presented scientific developments at a conference in the Southern Federal University

On May 19-20, the III International Conference "Sustainable and Innovative Development in the Global Digital Age" was held at the Southern Federal University (Rostov-on-Don). Tomsk State University was a co-organizer of the conference, and TSU President Georgii Mayer was a co-chairman of the conference.

Director of IEM Evgeniya Nekhoda, associate professors Olga Belomyttseva, Oleg Andrienko, and Elena Andrienko represented the TSU Institute of Economics and Management at the conference. Evgeniya Nekhoda's report was on the assessment of business contribution to sustainable development. Particular attention Evgeniya paid to the concept of capital within the framework of the International Integrated Reporting Standard.

Olga Belomyttseva was a chairwoman of the section "Sustainable Development Finance: Green Finance, Ecological Investment, Taxation and Business Valuation".

“We have two teams of authors: the first one is partnered with Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management (NSUEM) and Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University (their report was named "On the Issue of Spread of Green Bond Yields)," says Olga Belomyttseva. “The second team includes Siberian auditors led by Oleg Andriyenko. Their report was on "The Professional and Entrepreneurial Element in Auditing”. In the course of our research on green bond yield spreads in the Moscow Exchange sustainability sector, we found that our hypothesis and the global trend of lower green bond yields are not confirmed for the Russian market. Our team of authors plans to continue the research based on the data on the issuance and circulation of green bonds of Chinese issuers.

“Goals of sustainable development also imply development of corporate governance," explains Oleg Andrienko. “During the research, we considered the correlation of three audit features: public law function, professional element and entrepreneurial nature. We also analyzed their relationship, we formulated proposals for the further development of the concept of development of auditing activities in the Russian Federation in the framework of the ESG.”

In addition to SFU and TSU, the conference was co-organized by the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics (Moscow), University of Economics in Bratislava (Slovakia), the International Education Center (Slovakia), and Taishan University (China).
