
InnoLab, a program aimed at professional development of universities of Siberian Federal District, took place at TSU Institite of Economics and Management
On May, 20–22nd representatives of universities of Siberian Federal Region gathered at TSU Institute of Economics and Management to take part in supplementary professional development program called "From Science to Business: Developing Technological Entrepreneurship in Universities". The program is provided by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Department of developing technological entrepreneurship and technological transfer in affiliation with Moscow Physics and Technology Institute and Skolkovo Fund within the "Technologies" federal project as part of the "Effective and Viable Economy" national project.
The program was one of the events of the 2025 U-NOVUS forum. It was organized for teaching and research staff to transmit effective business instruments and help audience form competences that are vital for creating and commercialization high-tech projects in universities.
"We must teach youth to be independent and successful but to reach this goal they should be able to plan their progress, overcome bureaucratic barriers and create new foundation for state development. This means we also have to go the entrepreneur way to know how to teach and what to teach," mentioned Lyudmila Ogorodova, Deputy Governor of Tomsk Oblast for Research and Education System and Innovation Policy.
The program aimed at involving teachers and students in technological developing and creating prospective and promising start-ups was first run last year in Tomsk. Then program events took place in three more Russian cities, and again it’s Tomsk, TSU.
"Exactly a year ago, we launched a pilot program for universities in the Tomsk region. This time, we had representatives from 10 Siberian regions. These days, colleagues are not only working on case solutions but also studying new tools and approaches in educational practice, and most importantly - exchanging experiences and discussing how technological entrepreneurship is developing in different universities across the Siberian Federal District," said Victoria Makoveeva, Vice-Rector for Strategic Partnership at TSU.
The program creators paid special attention not only to tools and practices in technological entrepreneurship but also to specifics of working with the modern generation of students, as well as team formation and development of innovative environments in universities.
