International Management master’s program students completed the tasks given by Kept international company as a part of their practice

First year master’s students undergoing the International Management program were completing the tasks given by Kept company – the biggest audit-consulting firm in Russia working in accordance with international standards – as a part of their analytical practice.

During the first online meeting the students were acquainted with the specifics of the company’s activities, its team, refreshed and systematized their knowledge about indices and coefficients that describe competitiveness, profitability, liquidity, financial stability, investment attractiveness.

Then the students were divided into small groups, each working under the guidance of Kept supervisors: the tasks included analyzing financial reporting of specific companies: Lukoil, Severstal, RosAgro, NorNickel, etc., drawing conclusions about market and financial situation, prospects of growth and development, and justifying potential expectations of shareholders and investors. During the two weeks the students were able to consult their supervisors on a regular basis, quickly receive additional information, ask questions and receive answers. All communication during the practice was in English.

On June 2 the students successfully defended the results of their work before the Kept committee. Yuliya Chuvalova, Kept HR specialist, said that most students worked very hard, took into account the supervisors' comments, presented their results well, and adequately answered the questions.

We would like to thank Kept, a reliable business partner of the Institute of Economics and Management, for helping to organize analytical practice for students. Special thanks to the company supervisors who worked individually with each subgroup: Vladimir Golenischev (Audit Department), Tatiana Golovina (Project Finance Department), Nikita Sementsov, Yana Rakhtienko, Ivan Ilyin, and Elizaveta Baldakova (Business Evaluation Department).
