Master's Students of "International Management" Meet with Expert on Foreign Economic Activity of Tomsk Region

Master's students of the "International Management" program discussed the region's foreign economic activity with the Chair of the Committee for Foreign Economic Activity of the Tomsk Region Administration.

How is Tomsk Region's international cooperation is being built in practice? Which export support tools truly work? And what kind of specialists does the region need to access new markets? Students of the "International Management" Master's program received answers to these and many other questions firsthand—at their annual seminar with Elena Ivanova, Chair of the Committee for Foreign Economic Activity of the Tomsk Region Administration.

Elena Grigorievna is not just a speaker, but a key figure in shaping our region's foreign economic strategy. In her presentation, she combined analysis with real-life examples, discussing current projects, priority partner countries, and the nuances of working with foreign investors.

During the post-seminar discussion, the future managers asked the expert questions about the intricacies of conducting negotiations in different cultures, the prospects for digital exports, and opportunities for internships in relevant governmental structures.

"Such meetings are invaluable for us. Students see how theoretical models from textbooks are implemented in real regional policy. This is motivating and provides a clear understanding of career trajectories. The annual seminar with the leadership of the Foreign Economic Activity Committee is a cherished tradition and an important bridge between university education and labor market demands, helping to train truly in-demand specialists," says Olga Nedospasova, Professor at IEM TSU and Head of the "International Management" program.
