On the 14th of May the Institute of Economics and Management of TSU invites everyone to an open lecture on anthropology of the South China.

On the 14th of May in 14:45 we invite you to attend an open lecture in English that will be given by Sebastian Yemets from Slovenia

The topic: Village Anthropology: Economic Exchange, Global Processes, and a Better Family Life.

The meeting is dedicated to the Sebastian’s field studies held in the villages of the South China. Despite being small and remote, they are still connected with the outer modern world. The lecture will be interesting for those keen to know more about migration, urbanization and globalization, anthropology, who is good at English and intends to enroll in the program of International management.

The lecture itself is a part of the academic curriculum of master’s students of International management program within the course by A.P Irina Pavlova called “Advancement towards foreign markets” (Asia Pacific region).

Sebastian Yemets finished the Master’s program in anthropology in Xiamen University, China and the Bachelor’s program in sinology in the University of Edinburgh, UK. Currently, he is the lecturer of Chinese culture and language at TSU and is finishing his thesis work on the scientific field of ethnology, anthropology and ethnography. The research issue is “Chinese students’ informal economic practice in Siberian towns”. He is fluent in English, Chinese, German, Russian, Italian and Slovenian languages.
