Profession of an Auditor: A Great Career Start

On September 9, Margarita Kurochkina and Dmitry Skrylnikov,the experts of Trust Technologies company , delivered a lecture for IEM students about the auditing profession

At the meeting, titled “Audit: From Contract to Audit Report,” the experts explained:

— how audits are actually conducted in companies from different industries

— what an auditor does during the inspection process

— why auditing is an important and engaging profession

“The position of an auditor allows you to work with different companies and clients: I’ve worked with IT, oil, and coal industries. Now I focus more on the financial sector. And essentially, all this experience came together in just two years. I’m not sure if in other professions you can progress so quickly in such a short time,” said Dmitry Skrylnikov about the auditing profession.

“When you enter auditing, you quickly learn and develop both soft and hard skills. You gain communication skills, stress resilience, multitasking, sociability, and the ability to switch between tasks. And of course, time management skills. In our company, for example, we also have an extensive knowledge base that can be used in daily work. So, auditing is truly an excellent career start,” noted Margarita Kurochkina.

Students not only listened to the lecture but also asked their own questions and responded to those from the speakers. The most active participants received pleasant gifts from "Trust Technologies".
