Tomsk "Captains" Successfully Complete Kyokushin Instructor Training Camp and Earn New Belts

Students from the "Captains" educational program at the Institute of Economics and Management (IEM) of Tomsk State University participated in an instructor training camp held from November 18 to 22 at the "Pakhra" Center for Training Russian National Kyokushin Karate-do Teams. Each participant underwent an intensive course of training and instruction.

The camp provided the students with an opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the discipline of Kyokushin. The daily regime included three training sessions covering technical, physical, and theoretical preparation. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, the students practiced elements of kihon, kata, and kumite, learned to work at different paces and under various conditions, and performed strength exercises.

It is important to note that the camp's program extended beyond standard physical training. Special attention was paid to the philosophy of the martial art: traditional Japanese terminology, principles of respect and self-control, and the culture of the training process. This helped deepen their understanding of the warrior's path and offered a new perspective on their personal motivation.

The final stage of the camp was the kyu-test, which assessed technical skills, physical endurance, character, and patience. All 15 Tomsk "Captains" successfully passed the certification and received new belts, confirming their professional growth and readiness to advance further.

We congratulate the camp participants and wish them further achievements, consistency in their training, and new victories—both in sports and in their university life.
