- I want to note that the Siberian economic science remembers all its predecessors,- said Dmitry Khloptsov, head of the Department of Economics at the IEM. - The result of these 120 years is that in all major cities of Siberia economic science is developing, almost everywhere - in Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, and Barnaul - their own departments, institutes, and faculties have been created. Their basis was the Department of Political Economy and Statistics, created at Tomsk Imperial University in 1898.
