‘You’ve made a right choice’, the first year students were greeted by IEM management and partners on September 1st
The first day program of bachelor and master student was eventful: they met university and IEM management, listened to the welcome address by graduates, learnt about the opportunities.
IEM director Evgenia Nekhoda told about the institute, its history, structure, curriculums and successful graduates.
“You entered TSU on the day which is twice memorable – university’s 145 th Anniversary and 125 years of economic education in TSU”, Evgenia Vladimirovna mentioned.
Students from state universities of Samarkand and Andijan pursuing the two diplomas curriculum became the third year students of TSU straight away.
During the meeting with bachelor program freshmen Igor Chepenkov, manager of PJSC Sberbank Tomsk Branch told a tale about the ways to succeed in life and shared his personal recommendations for time management. At the end of his speech, he wished the students good luck and invited them for internship after graduation.
The master students were greeted by the director of Master and Postgraduate Programs Office Maria German. She presented IEM team and wished the students that the program would the launch pad for their future success.
The director of Siberian Cedar LLC Aleksander Olovyanishnikov congratulated the students on the right decision. He mentioned in his speech the importance of education and staff shortage on labor market. He wished the student to find an interesting job after graduation.
The Deputy Director for Academic Affairs Victoria Makoveeva told about the possibilities and opportunities of technology entrepreneurship, grants and investments. She also mentioned activities of the Center for Entrepreneurship of the Institute of Economics and Management and differences between bachelor and master programs.
