IEM team took 1st place at the All-Russian Olympiad for Students in Labor Economics and Human Resources Management

On April 26-28 the Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management (NSUEM) hosted the XVI All-Russian Olympiad for University Students in Labor Economics and Human Resources Management. A team of IEM third year students won 1st place.

The Olympiad was held in Novosibirsk. 13 teams from different cities of Russia (Moscow, Novokuznetsk, Krasnoyarsk, Surgut, Novosibirsk, Tomsk) participated. From Tomsk here were three teams: IEM TSU, TPU, and TUSUR. In team competition the IEM students took the first cup – they became the winners of the Olympiad. Our students also became winners in the nominations "Best Advertising Card" (video filmed as homework) and "Case Presentation" (real case from company: the students developed a strategic plan of personnel recruitment for a food production company). The team consisted of third-year students Elina Shavaleeva, Tatiana Shoshina and Elizaveta Stepanova.

The leader of the team was Natalia Cherepanova, Associate Professor of the Department of Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management of IEM TSU. Last year, Natalia supervised Elina Shavaleyeva, who participated in the same Olympiad in online format. That time Elina took 3rd place in the individual competition, and this year she was captain of the winner team.

“The Olympiad was held for three days in an intensive mode,” says Natalia Cherepanova. “an intense struggle, a fairly large number of tasks. Our students were very active, which determined their success – one person couldn't win it for the entire team. Congratulations to the winners, our institute, and TSU – this is a great result!”
